Descent 2 picks up directly after the first one ends. Sarah Carter emerges from the caves the only survivor with not much memory of what’s just occurred. Shes in shock and still hasn’t taken grasp of the situation and is immediately taken back down into the caves to lead some archaeologists and a local sheriff on a search party.
Once they enter the depths of the cave Sarah begins to remember the horrors shes just escaped from and realizes everyone thinks shes responsible for them being missing she bolts and does what she did last time…hide and defend….Her past experience will prepare her for a much worse terrifying nite then shes probably ready for.
Descent 2 isn't really anything more then Descent, in the aspect that it really doesn’t tell a new tale, it's just changed characters and a few more creatures were added. Sure the creatures were creepier and there was more blood, there just wasn’t a solid plot set forth.Me being one that adores blood just couldn't look past such a boring ass script as well as a sub par directorial effort. I will say there was a nice unexpected twist of the "non plot" that gets you excited only to let you down and I wont even begin to understand why they chose to go with this ending. It just doesn’t make sense. All in all the movie plays out real well I suppose and creepy but if you’ve seen the first one then I wouldn’t waste any time on this one.
