Pan, a dark, fanciful prequel to Peter Pan legend. Pan looks to be a visually stunning big budget feature with some serious names behind it including the one and only Hugh Jackman (who will pretty much ensure every mom, and some of the dads in the neighborhood will be packing the seats with the kiddos). Pan is directed by Joe Wright and written by Jason Fuchs and set to hit theaters October 9 2015.
Katniss is coming our way once again, in the this the next installment of The Hunger Games franchise, with Jennifer Lawrence once aging reprising her role as Katniss, along with a return from from such greats as Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Julianne Moore, and Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark). Katniss has her work cut out in Mockingjay, with her fighting to save a nation emboldened by her bravery. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part1 is due out in time for the Thanksgiving holiday with a US release date of November 21st.
Word is spreading quickly about Gwar documentary "Let There be Gwar". Especially timely due to the recent passing of Dave Brockie (Oderus Urungus), and the fact that things seemingly are still up in the air as far as the bands long term future. This documentary is sure to help appease the masses of fans still reeling from Brockies death. currently there doesnt seem to be any word on the expected release date, but as a gal who thrashed at some of their shows, and has been listening for at least 20 years, I am hoping word breaks on some sort distribution soon!
