Running time approx. 11 minutes
If you ever needed a reminder as to why you should think twice before you answer one of those personal ads, this is it! Episode 1 opens with a man and woman sitting across the table from one anther sharing a meal and awkward conversation. In no time you realize this uncomfortable moment is the result of David answering a personal ad placed by our lead female Debbie Rochon. Seems Debbie is a bit over anxious and David just isn't feeling it, but shes completely unaware of the pained look on his face everytime she opens her mouth. Who will walk away from this nightmare date? Will Debbie win David over, or will she find herself facing her worst fear?
Debbie Rochon once again proves in this why she is so popular among the indie film makers, and fans! Shes great, and david Marancik plays his part so well too! You can FEEL his level of disdain and annoyance right from the start. Monophobia is well shot, with limited but effective special effects. The piece is well written and actually pretty believable, with a great ending that really sells the whole thing! I am pretty excited to see what the first two seasons hold, and will be reviewing more in the series soon!
But as usual don't take my word, watch episode one below, and face Your Fears!
